An OloSeuranta device can be placed in a resident’s room, a shared area or a private home. The devices help identify situations that may need attention.
OloSeuranta can detect, for example:
Movement during the night and getting out of bed
Doors opening and movement in corridors
Long periods of inactivity or changes in activity
Unusual sound levels, such as high sound peaks or repeated noise
Abnormal changes in temperature and humidity
When something changes:
A care professional receives an alert
A family member can receive agreed information
Night-time movement can be noticed quickly
Longer-term changes are visible in trends
OloSeuranta does not use cameras. Sound-level monitoring does not record speech or audio; it measures only changes in sound level.
Care homes and assisted living
In residential care, the most important thing is to notice in time where a resident needs help.
OloSeuranta supports safety during night shifts by notifying staff if a resident attempts to get out of bed, moves unusually during the night or opens a door when there may be an increased risk. The care professional sees where the event was detected and can assess whether someone needs to respond immediately.
This reduces unnecessary room checks, supports the resident’s sleep and helps staff respond before restlessness, wandering or getting out of bed leads to injury.
“OloSeuranta has made nighttime care easier and reduced unnecessary check-in visits.”

OloSeuranta helps home care identify changes in a client’s daily routine. A change may appear as increased night-time movement, reduced movement or changes in refrigerator use.
The aim is not to create more alerts, but to highlight changes that are worth checking. SafeApp and reports make these changes easy to see without requiring care professionals to interpret complex graphs.
The information helps assess whether it is an isolated event or a longer-term change and whether the client’s situation should be checked.
Peace of mind for families – safer daily life at home
For a person living at home, an agreed family member can receive information about whether daily routines are continuing as usual.
OloSeuranta can send a notification if movement decreases significantly, night-time activity increases or the temperature in the home changes rapidly.
The purpose is not to monitor the person continuously. It is to notice when something changes.
On a hospital ward, a challenging situation can arise when a patient should not get out of bed without assistance.
OloSeuranta can notify staff of increased sound levels, movement in the room or a patient getting out of bed. Staff receive the information quickly.
The device can be moved from one patient room to another as needed.
The OloSeuranta device does not use a camera and is not wearable. The patient does not need to do anything to use it.
A calmer night and fewer unnecessary awakenings
Information about where to go first
A better understanding of how night-shift time is spent
Less uncertainty about how everyday life is going
OloSeuranta devices can be installed in a few minutes.
They do not require a separate internet connection, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or cabling.
Care professionals do not need to maintain connections or restart devices.
Alerts are shown in SafeApp, while OneView provides a broader overview.
