Hoivita OloSeuranta brings an anticipatory situational picture to assisted living, senior housing, home care and independent living at home – without cameras, wearables or the client’s own internet connection.
Discreet monitoring points identify changes in daily routines, such as nighttime movement, getting out of bed, door activity, changes in temperature and humidity, and, when needed, changes in sound level. The service does not record images, speech or audio.
When the situation deviates from normal, the information is delivered to caregivers, family members or unit staff through SafeApp or the OneView view. This ensures that the right information is available when it is time to act – without unnecessary checking.
The solution is designed for smooth day-to-day use:
Quick to install
No client Wi-Fi or cabling required
Easy to move when needs change
Supports both immediate response and longer-term trend monitoring
OloSeuranta helps allocate resources where they are truly needed, reduces unnecessary visits, improves the quality of care and brings peace of mind to caregivers, clients and loved ones alike.
OloSeuranta supports nighttime safety in care homes and assisted living by notifying staff when a resident gets out of bed, moves unusually during the night, or when a situation requires attention. This helps caregivers respond at the right time and focus check-in rounds where they are truly needed.
By reducing unnecessary room visits, OloSeuranta can support residents’ sleep quality and help maintain daily functional capacity. A clearer situational picture also helps care teams allocate their time more effectively, especially during night shifts.
The service also supports situations where a resident is unable to call for help. OloSeuranta can detect restlessness, movement and changes in sound level, and alert staff when there is a reason to check the situation. The service does not record speech or audio.
OloSeuranta does not replace caregivers. It helps caregivers see where help is needed first.
In home care, OloSeuranta helps care teams follow changes in the client’s daily rhythm over time. The goal is not to create more alerts, but to identify early signs that everyday routines may be changing.
With one discreet monitoring point, OloSeuranta can provide insight into general movement, nighttime restlessness, long periods of inactivity and whether the day starts in a usual way. Changes in activity during daytime, meal-time periods or evening routines can give care teams a reason to check the situation before it develops further.
Environmental data, such as temperature and humidity, can also help identify changes in the home environment. For example, a rapid drop in temperature may indicate an open window or door, while an unusual rise in humidity may be a reason to check the home.
When needed, changes in sound level can also be used to identify situations such as loud bangs, shouting or other unusual noise. The service does not record speech or audio.
OloSeuranta supports home care by making changes visible early, helping caregivers focus their attention where support may be needed most.
OloSeuranta is suitable for supporting the daily life of an older person living at home when family members want greater reassurance that everyday life is continuing as usual. With one discreet monitoring point, the service can provide insight into general movement, nighttime restlessness, long periods of inactivity, and home conditions such as temperature and humidity.
The service can notify a family member or agreed care provider if the daily rhythm changes clearly, movement decreases, nighttime activity increases, or an unusual change is detected in the home environment. For example, during freezing weather, a rapid drop in temperature may indicate an open door or window, while an unusual rise in humidity may be a reason to check the situation.
Sound observations can be used to identify unusual noise levels, loud bangs, or situations resembling a call for help. The service does not record speech or audio, but monitors changes in sound level.
The goal is not to monitor the person, but to notice early if something changes in daily life or in the home environment and there is a reason to react.
Hoivita OloSeuranta is well suited for hospital wards where staff need to detect patient movement or attempts to get out of bed early. It can support geriatric, orthopedic, neurological, rehabilitation and other wards where fall prevention and timely assistance are important.
The service notifies staff when a patient moves, attempts to get out of bed or when the situation differs from normal. This helps caregivers respond before the situation develops into a safety risk.
OloSeuranta is lightweight to deploy: it does not require cameras, wearables or active use by the patient. A monitoring point can be placed where it is needed and moved from one patient room to another as the ward situation changes.
By reducing unnecessary checking and helping staff focus attention where support is needed most, OloSeuranta can improve patient safety, support smoother recovery and make better use of staff time.
"Hoivita OloSeuranta has transformed our nighttime routines and cut down on unnecessary check-ins, allowing us to provide better, more focused care."
